Terms of Service

Last updated: October 2026

1. Services Provided

Myra On-The-Go Notary provides mobile notary public services in accordance with Texas Government Code Chapter 406 and the Texas Administrative Code. We travel to your location to perform notarial acts including acknowledgments, jurats, oaths, and affirmations, as well as document assistance services.

2. What We Cannot Do

As notaries, we are legally prohibited from:

  • Providing legal advice or recommending which documents you need
  • Preparing legal documents (beyond general document assistance)
  • Notarizing documents with blank spaces or incomplete information
  • Notarizing signatures when the signer is not present
  • Notarizing when the signer appears to lack capacity or is signing under duress
  • Certifying copies of vital records (birth/death certificates)

3. Identification Requirements

All signers must present valid, current government-issued photo identification as required by Texas law. Acceptable IDs include driver's licenses, state IDs, passports, military IDs, and permanent resident cards. Signers without acceptable ID cannot be notarized.

4. Appointments & Scheduling

Appointments are confirmed after consultation. We ask for a 2-hour minimum notice for same-day requests. While we strive to be punctual, travel conditions may occasionally cause delays — we will always communicate proactively.

5. Fees & Payment

Our fees consist of two separate components:

  • Notarial fees: up to $6 per notarial act as permitted by Texas law
  • Travel/convenience fees: based on distance, quoted upfront

Payment is due at the time of service unless other arrangements are made. We accept card payments, digital wallets, and other eligible methods through secure Stripe checkout, as well as cash.

6. Right to Refuse Service

We reserve the right to decline any notarization that appears fraudulent, coercive, or otherwise inconsistent with Texas notarial law. Fees for travel to declined appointments may apply if the inability to notarize results from signer-side issues.

7. Limitation of Liability

Our liability is limited to the fees paid for the service in question. We maintain errors & omissions (E&O) insurance as required for Texas notaries.
